Primary Program
The ward we are currently attending with my parents had their annual primary program on Sunday. This is something that the children and their leaders spend months preparing for. They learn several songs and they each get a part that they say into the microphone. Although Isaac is only four, and appears to be shy, when you put him in front of a microphone he is very self-confident. We had practiced his part several times, and he had it memorized, but the week prior to the program when I kept asking him his part, he would change it or add random thoughts trying to be funny. He told my dad he was going to go up there and say, "I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly" (which he does know the whole thing!), so I wasn't sure what would happen. But, when it was his turn, he got up there and said his part without any help. His part was, "When my mommy is sad, I can give her a big hug and kiss. I will tell her that I love her so she will feel better." He was so adorable and he looked straight at me when he said it, so of course I got all emotional! We were very proud of him!
