Feliz Navidad!

Christmas with the Jacob Family: We always celebrate the 24th and the 25th, with the main celebration being the 24th. We make traditional Guatemalan tamales (the process featured here) the day before and eat them at midnight on the 24th. We go Christmas caroling before the meal and open presents after the meal (after my dad's message, of course!). Isaac was BOMBARDED with Christmas gifts this year--you can imagine with 11 aunts and uncles and 2 sets of grandparents and being one of two granchildren! Unfortunately he fell asleep right after midnight (he's usually a very late night owl!). Jen and Mohan were able to come from India to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas with us!

  1. Feliz navidad! Isn't Christmas wonderful? We had tamales on Christmas Eve too. It's not exactly a tradition for our family but I think I'm going to start it. Come visit!
